Middlemark Weekly is the community newspaper of Middlemark, the market town at the centre of the Larkbourne Valley. Every Thursday we cover the decisions, people and small events that shape life between the old railway bridge and the top of Corn Hill — the parish council, the shops along Weaver’s Row, the schools, the clubs and the fields in between.
We are a paper about proximity. If it happens within a bicycle ride of the market cross, we think it matters. That means planning notices and road closures, but also allotment prize-winners, choir rehearsals and the fortunes of the Saturday league. We favour plain reporting over rumour, and we always try to give the people we write about a chance to reply.
The paper is written and edited locally, and we keep our bylines to the publication itself. Our aim is simple: to be the record the valley keeps of itself, week by week.
